Vancouver, BC (September 28, 2018) – The Vancouver Warriors and the National Lacrosse League are pleased to announce the hiring of Brandon Astle and Brad Challoner as the broadcast team for Warriors home broadcasts on NLL TV this season.
Astle brings over 1,000 games of experience to the broadcast booth, including the past five years describing lacrosse play-by-play in the Western Lacrosse Association. Challoner brings a decade of experience calling lacrosse, including the past seven seasons describing Vancouver’s games in the NLL as a colour analyst.
“Warriors games will feature the top lacrosse players in the world. Our team identity will be a tough defence, fast transition and motion offence. We are pleased to have Brad and Brandon on board to describe the action to our fans and bring their passion to the broadcasts,” said Jeff Stipec, Chief Operating Officer, Canucks Sports and Entertainment.
The National Lacrosse League will be a featured part of B/R Live, a division of Turner Sports, which will launch live streaming in Canada before the start of the 18-19 season.
