Warriors sign Dinsdale, Re-sign Penney, Fryer, Codron & Pynn

VANCOUVER BC – The Vancouver Warriors are pleased to announce the signing of forward Matthew Dinsdale to a one year deal.

Dinsdale, 30, gets to come home to play for his hometown team as he was born and raised in Coquitlam BC. A first round (7th overall) draft pick of the Calgary Roughnecks in 2012, Dinsdale spent part of three seasons in Calgary before being traded to the Edmonton/Saskatchewan Rush, helping the Rush to three NLL championships over a four year span from 2015 to 2018.

Dinsdale has played in 100 regular season games, posting 81 goals and 105 assists for 186 points. In 14 playoff games, Dinsdale has scored seven goals and added 21 helpers for 28 points.

“Matthew is both a talented and intelligent offensive player,” states Head Coach Chris Gill. “He also has a championship mentality as he has been a part of many championships at multiple levels throughout his lacrosse career. Marty will give us some great depth on offense.”

The Warriors have also re-signed goalies Eric Penney and Steve Fryer plus defenders Tyler Codron and Mason Pynn.

Vancouver has finalized their scouting staff for the upcoming season, with Todd Lorenz (West) and Jamie Dubrick (East) being renewed for the upcoming season while defender Chris O’Dougherty will remain with the team as the Vancouver Warriors US Scout.
