Warriors Stick To School Program

The Vancouver Warriors are happy to present, Stick to School. This is a free 1-hour program where Vancouver Warriors players will be going into schools around the lower mainland and presenting to an assembly of students from grades K-9. This program will include both an educational and fitness component to it.

Our program leaders will present a PowerPoint presentation on who the Vancouver Warriors are, the history of lacrosse, its Indigenous connection, the first people’s perspective of learning and the rules of the game. We will then follow with the fitness component where our players will engage with the students and teach them the fundamentals of lacrosse through fun drills/games.

Following the assembly, we will be gifting each school 30 kid’s ticket vouchers to a 2022/23 Vancouver Warriors home game. At the end of the year, we will draw one lucky school who will receive 30 lacrosse sticks and balls for their schools PE program, where the students can continue to learn and develop their lacrosse skills.
