Warriors Make It Rain In 13-12 Win Over Desert Dogs

The Vancouver Warriors put a strong third quarter together and rode that momentum into the fourth to secure the win.

Vancouver was down 7-2 midway in the second quarter but battled back, narrowing the gap to two goals, Las Vegas leading 8-6 at the half.

The Warriors had a three-goal run in the third and Vancouver went goal for goal with Las Vegas through the fourth quarter grinding their defence down in a gritty win. Vancouver’s defence continued the tough play we’ve been seeing all season.

Adam Charalambides, who scored the game-winning goal, and Ryan Martel each had four goals in the win and Keegan Bal led the Warriors with a nine-point night with three goals and six assists. The Warriors also saw Reid Bowering and Brad McCulley notch a goal in the win.

Aden Walsh and Aaron Bold shared goaltending duties for the Warriors, Walsh turning aside 32 shots and Bold stopping five shots.

The Warriors play on the road next week in the City of Brotherly Love on Saturday, March 23 for a tilt with the Philadelphia Wings at Wells Fargo Center. Faceoff is at 4 p.m. PT.
