FireWolves Burn Warriors

Albany 11, Vancouver 7

VANCOUVER – The Albany Fire Wolves scored four unanswered goals in the second quarter and cruised to a 11-7 victory before 5864 fans at Rogers Arena on Saturday night.

Doug Jamieson had a great night in goal for the Fire Wolves, turning aside 48 of 55 Vancouver shots and leading Albany to an important win in their chase for the final NLL Wild Card playoff berth.

Vancouver rookie Adam Charalambides had the best offensive output of his young career, scoring twice and adding three assists for five points to lead all Vancouver players.  The Warriors also had two more goals from veteran forward Logan Schuss, while rookie Reid Bowering, Marty Dinsdale and Derek Lloyd found the back of the net for the Warriors.

With the loss, the Warriors now fall to 6-9 and have to find a road victory to stay in the race for the Western Conference Playoffs.  Next up for Vancouver, a date in the prairies with the Saskatchewan Rush on Saturday April 9th.  Game time will be 6 PM PDT.

Vancouver’s next home game will be a huge divisional tilt with the Calgary Roughnecks on Saturday April 16th, 7 PM at Rogers Arena, and it’s also THROWBACK NIGHT.  For single game tickets, flex packs, group tickets and VIP suites for the Warriors home games are on sale at tickets.vancouverwarriors.com/.
