Warriors Make a Pair of Trades; Acquire Bilic from Rush

VANCOUVER BC – The Vancouver Warriors have made two trades.

Vancouver has acquired a 2022 – 2nd round draft selection from the New England Black Wolves in exchange for forward Anthony Malcom.

“This draft pick provides us with pieces that we need moving forward,” comments Warriors General Manager Dan Richardson.  “We wish Anthony all the best in New England.”

Vancouver then acquired veteran defensive player Nik Bilic from the Saskatchewan Rush in exchange for a 2022 2ndround draft pick (acquired earlier today from New England).

Bilic, 30, from Burnaby BC, has played eight seasons in the NLL, his last six with the Rush organization.  With the Rush, Bilic helped the team to three NLL Championships.  Last season, in 16 games played, Bilic tallied five assists and added 61 penalty minutes.

“Nik Bilic is a veteran defender who has won multiple NLL Championships,” states Warriors General Manager Dan Richardson.

“Nik is gritty, speedy and hard to play against; he makes our team better instantly,” comments Vancouver Head Coach Chris Gill.  “We look forward to Nik joining Vancouver and being a big part of our defense.”

Warriors training camp begins this weekend at the Langley Events Centre Fieldhouse.
