Warriors Unveil 2022-23 Playing Roster

Vancouver, B.C. – The Vancouver Warriors will have 11 new players to select from as they announce their 2022-23 roster today.

Among the new arrivals is 8x Mann Cup Champion, 2x Minto Cup Champion and 2007 NLL Champion Shawn Evans. Evans was signed as a free agent after leading his hometown Peterborough Lakers to a 7-game victory over Langley in this past summer’s 2022 Mann Cup Championship, where Evans became the all-time leading scorer in Mann Cup history.

Also among the new players joining the Warriors this season are defenders Matt Delmonico (Port Coquitlam), Jonathan Gagliardi (Oakville, ON), Harrison Smith (North Vancouver), Aidan Solomon (Victoria), Graden Soucy (Nanaimo), and Jacob Motiuk (Calgary, AB) with forwards Marcus Klarich (Burnaby) and Chase Scanlan (Seneca Nation, NY) plus goaltenders Aden Walsh (Oakville, ON) and Ethan Woods (Owen Sound, ON).

“We believe that with the infusion of Shawn Evans, along with the arrival of all of these new players who earned their place onto our roster, that we have strengthened our team and look forward to competing this season,” commented Vancouver Warriors General Manager Dan Richardson. “These new players, added to the return of Mitch Jones from injury and the solid core of players like Keegan Bal and Kyle Killen up front and Brett Mydske, Reid Bowering and Owen Barker on the back end will make us hard to play against.”

The Warriors begin their 2022 regular season with a matchup in Hamilton versus the Toronto Rock on Saturday, December 3 at 2:00pm PT. The game will be broadcast nationally on TSN as the NLL Game of the Week on TSN’s digital platforms, TSN.ca and the TSN app. The Warriors will open at Rogers Arena against Western Conference rivals, the Calgary Roughnecks, on Friday, December 16 at 7:00pm PT, also broadcast on TSN.
