Warriors Stuff Mammoth

Vancouver BC. – Eric Penney stood tall, stopping 48 shots as the Vancouver Warriors snapped a three-game slide with a hard fought 7-5 win over their division rivals, the Colorado Mammoth, before 6450 Beach Party faithful at Rogers Arena.

Penney established a career high with a .905 save percentage in front of a stout defense which allowed few inside chances the entire evening.

Mitch Jones and Keegan Bal paced the offense again, both posting four point nights with Jones notching two goals and two assists while Bal kicked in with one goal and three assists.  Jordan McBride also continued his torrid pace, lighting the lamp twice, while Riley Loewen and Sam Clare, with his first NLL goal, also scored for Vancouver.

Vancouver will enjoy a bye week before embarking on their busiest month of the season, playing six games in February beginning Saturday, February 1st in New England versus the Black Wolves.  The Warriors will return home for a date versus the always tough Buffalo Bandits on Friday, February 7th.  It’s Throwback Night at Rogers Arena with plenty of great prizes and promos throughout the evening.
