Warriors Stay Busy on Day 2 of NLL Free Agency

VANCOUVER BC – The Vancouver Warriors have continued a busy free agency period, signing five more players today.  Defensive transition player Brent Adams, defender Bob Snider, and forward Lyndon Bunio to contracts while also re-signing forward Joel McCready and goaltender Aaron Bold.

Adams, 28, is from Norwalk Connecticut, and has spent his past two seasons in the NLL with the Colorado Mammoth.  “We are excited to bring Brent to our organization,” comments Warriors General Manager Dan Richardson.  “Adams is one of the fastest players in the NLL and will bring big time speed on the turf for us this season.”

Bunio, 23, is originally from Calgary, and has spent his past two seasons playing with New Westminster of the Western Lacrosse Association.  The lefty scored 14 goals and added 22 assists for 36 points in the regular season this year.

“Lyndon has enjoyed a great year in the WLA,” says Richardson.  “Bunio sets great picks, creates a lot of space for his teammates and isn’t afraid to go to the tough areas in front of the goal or into the corner to scrap for a loose ball.”

Snider, 34, from Calgary, is a faceoff specialist, and has nine seasons in the NLL.  “Bob addresses the need of ball possession for us,” says Warriors General Manager Dan Richardson.  “Snider’s 62% career average in the circle should give us more opportunities to push forward offensively.”

Bold, also 34, calls Edmonton home. “We are pleased to bring Aaron back to Vancouver,” comments Richardson. “Aaron is a veteran and brings leadership on and off the floor.  We are looking forward to seeing Aaron have a bounce back season.”

McCready, 31, resides in Coquitlam and played just five games before sustaining a season ending injury. “Joel has worked incredibly hard to ready himself for the upcoming season,” says Richardson. “It matches his tenacity on the floor and is contagious.  We look forward to Joel rejoining our team and leading by example as he always does.”
