Warriors Roast Wings

VANCOUVER BC – The Vancouver Warriors erupted for a team record 9 goals in the opening quarter and cruised from there, handing the Philadelphia Wings a 19-11 setback at Rogers Arena on Sunday afternoon.

Keegan Bal paced the well-balanced attack for Vancouver, scoring a NLL high 14 points in the game with five goals and nine assists.  Jordan McBride also had five goals on the afternoon, while the Warriors saw Mitch Jones pot four, Logan Schuss lit the lamp three times, Brandon Goodwin and Jean-Luc Chetner also turned on the light for Vancouver in the win.  Jones had a ten-point night, while Schuss had nine and McBride kicked in eight points to spread around the offense.  19 goals also matched a team high for any NLL team in a single game this season.

Aaron Bold picked up the win for Vancouver, but not before he made 62 saves on the night.

Vancouver’s playoff aspirations remain alive.  With two games left this season, Vancouver (5-11) needs to win both games remaining (at Rochester April 20th and home to Toronto on April 26th) and have Colorado lose their final two games (road v San Diego April 19th and road vs Saskatchewan April 27th) to qualify for the NLL playoffs.

The Vancouver Warriors next home game will be on April 26th versus the Toronto Rock. For tickets, check out our website www.vancouverwarriors.com and for tickets you can call 604-899-7799 or www.vancouverwarriors.com/tickets for all of our ticket options.
