Warriors Bounce Black Wolves

UNCASVILLE CT. – The Vancouver Warriors showed their defensive teeth for the second straight game, taking down the New England Black Wolves 10-6 at the Mohegan Sun Casino Arena, quieting the crowd of 4801 in the process.

Mitch Jones and Keegan Bal each paced the offence, both scoring a hat trick and adding two helpers for identical five-point nights.

Riley Loewen scored twice in the victory, while James Rahe and Sam Clare also bulged the twine for Vancouver.

Eric Penney once again was a brick wall between the pipes for the Warriors, making 44 saves on 50 shots for his second consecutive win.

With the victory, the Vancouver Warriors move into third place in Western Division with a 3-4 record.

Vancouver will now head home to get ready for their busiest week of the season. The Warriors open the week at home versus the always tough Buffalo Bandits on Friday, February 7th.  It’s Throwback Night at Rogers Arena with plenty of great prizes and promos throughout the evening.  Game time is at 7:30 PM.

The Warriors will then get right back on the plane Saturday morning and travel cross country for a date versus the Rochester Knighthawks.  Game time on Sunday, February 9th is at 11 AM PST.
