Vancouver Warriors announce broadcast agreement with Sportsnet 650

VANCOUVER BC – The Vancouver Warriors of the National Lacrosse League are pleased to announce that they have reached a broadcast agreement with Sportsnet to broadcast the remainder of the 2019 Vancouver Warriors regular season and playoff schedule on Sportsnet 650, Vancouver’s all-sports radio station. Expanded coverage will also include online content and a weekly lacrosse show.

Content will include ‘Warriors in 30’, a televised 30-minute recap following each home game on Sportsnet Pacific. Home and away games will be broadcast on Sportsnet 650, with audio available to stream online at sportsnet.ca/650.

“Partnering with Sportsnet is a bonus for all new and dedicated lacrosse fans across the Province of British Columbia,” comments Canucks Sports and Entertainment Chief Operating Officer Trent Carroll. “To be able to get expanded Vancouver Warriors content out through our relationship with Sportsnet and their many platforms will be great for everyone.  Hopefully, this will also entice fans to come downtown to experience one of our games.”

Warriors home games will continue to be called by the NLL.com team of Brandon Astle and Brad Challoner, while Vancouver’s road games and the ‘Warriors Weekly’ lacrosse show will be broadcast by long time Vancouver sports host Dave Sheldon.

For more information about the broadcast schedule, ‘Warriors Weekly’ lacrosse show and online content, tune into Sportsnet 650 (650 AM or 96.9 HD3), or visit www.vancouverwarriors.com or www.sportsnet.ca/650.
