LATE WARRIORS RALLY FALLS SHORT IN SAN DIEGO 13-11

SAN DIEGO, CA – The Vancouver Warriors rallied from a four-goal deficit in the fourth quarter, but two late goals by San Diego pushed the Seals past the Warriors 13-11 in NLL action on Friday night in Southern California.

The Warriors had a balanced attack in this game, with six different forwards and eight players overall scoring goals. Ryan Martel returned to the lineup and led all scorers for Vancouver with three goals and two assists for five points. Johnathan Peshko added two goals, while Marcus Klarich, Keegan Bal, Adam Charalambides, Owen Grant and Alec Stathakis with his first NLL goal also lit the lamp for the Warriors.

Aden Walsh started this game for Vancouver but gave way to Connor O’Toole midway through the third quarter with his team trailing 11-7. O’Toole was excellent in relief, stopping 9 straight shots before goals by Wes Berg and Rob Hellyer sealed the deal for San Diego.

With the setback, Vancouver falls to 5-7 on the season and are fighting for a playoff spot. The Warriors next game will be against the Toronto Rock on Friday March 14.  Game time at Rogers Arena will be at 7 PM.
