WARRIORS SCORE LATE FOR BIG WIN IN CALGARY

#NextManUp gets the job done for the Warriors

Riley Loewen scored the game winning goal with just over two minutes to play as the Vancouver Warriors scored a huge 11-10 road win over the Calgary Roughnecks on Friday night east of the Rockies.

Keegan Bal scored three goals and added three assists to pace the Warriors with six points on the night.  Logan Schuss and Kyle Killen each potted a pair of goals for Vancouver in the victory, while Adam Charalambides, Owen Barker, Taylor Stuart and Loewen each had singles for the Warriors.

Steve Fryer stepped in for an ailing Alex Buque and delivered Vancouver a big win.  The keeper they call ‘Deep’ turned aside 41 shots to pick up his first win in Warriors colours

With their third consecutive win, the Warriors improve their record to 5-3 on the season and now are just a ½ game back of Colorado for 2nd in the Western Conference.  Vancouver will look to stretch that streak to four as they head to Ft. Worth for a date with the Panther City Lacrosse Club.  The game will be the second of three on the road for the Warriors and will take place next Saturday night, February 26, with game time at 5 PM Pacific.

Next Warriors home game is on Saturday, March 12 when the Toronto Rock fly west to battle Vancouver.  It’s JERSEY NIGHT, so make sure you wear your favorite jersey and check out the Fastest Game on Two Feet.  For single game tickets, flex packs, group tickets and VIP suites for the Warriors home games are on sale at tickets.vancouverwarriors.com/.
