Warriors Rough Up Rush 13-7

Schuss and Bal five point nights, Schuss and Dinsdale 3 goals each

VANCOUVER – A season high eight-goal second quarter paced the Vancouver Warriors to an impressive 13-7 victory over the Saskatchewan Rush before 5830 happy fans at Rogers Arena.

For the second consecutive game, the Warriors spread out their scoring, with forwards Logan Schuss and former Rush player Marty Dinsdale lighting the lamp with a hat trick apiece in the victory.  Schuss also added two helpers for a five point night while Keegan Bal also was a factor, scoring once and dishing out four assists for five points as well.

Other Vancouver goal scorers on the evening were defenders Garrett McIntosh and Captain Brett Mydske, each with their first goals in Warriors colors, while Brandon Goodwin and rookie Adam Charalambides rounded out the scoring.

The difference also occurred between the pipes, as Warriors goalie Alex Buque turned aside 47 of 54 shots, and kicked in a laser assist on Vancouver’s opening goal for yet another stellar performance.

With the win, the Warriors move to 4-3 on the season and now head out on a season high three game road trip, beginning next Friday, February 18 versus the Calgary Roughnecks.  Game time is 7 PM PT.

Next Warriors home game is on Saturday, March 12 when the Toronto Rock fly west to battle Vancouver.  It’s JERSEY NIGHT, so make sure you wear your favorite jersey and check out the Fastest Game on Two Feet.  For single game tickets, flex packs, group tickets and VIP suites for the Warriors home games are on sale at tickets.vancouverwarriors.com/.
