Vancouver, B.C. – The Calgary Roughnecks scored five unanswered second quarter goals to beat the Vancouver Warriors 14-7 at Rogers Arena.
The Warriors had an attendance of 11,457, the highest recorded attendance at a Warriors game at Rogers Arena.
Warriors’ forward Ryan Martel led the way for Vancouver with three points, 2 goals and an assist. Adam Charalambides, Riley Loewen, Kevin Crowley, Jackson Suboch and Kyle Killen all chipped in a goal each.
Aaron Bold turned aside 19 shots and Aden Walsh stopped 11 shots he faced in the loss.
The Warriors (1-4) are on the road next week to take on the Saskatchewan Rush at SaskTel Centre. Opening faceoff is at 5:00 p.m. PT.
