Panther City edge Warriors

VANCOUVER BC – The Panther City Lacrosse Club scored twice in the final 94 seconds of the game to edge the Vancouver Warriors 9-8 before 7532 Beach Night fans at Rogers Arena.

In a hard fought contest that went back and forth throughout the evening, Panther City held a 4-3 first quarter lead, which was wrestled away by Vancouver, who held leads of 5-4 at the half and 7-5 after three quarters.  However, four goals in the final 15 minutes, including the aforementioned two goals in the final 94 seconds, propelled PCLC to the win.

Shawn Evans paced the Warriors with four goals and two assists for six points while Kyle Killen added a goal and four helpers for five points on the night.  Vancouver also had two goals from Keegan Bal and one from Adam Charalambides.

Aden Walsh had a solid night between the pipes for the Warriors, racking up 49 saves on 58 shots.

The Vancouver Warriors will wrap up their schedule with a home game versus the New York Riptide on Fan Appreciation Night at Rogers Arena, Saturday, April 29th.  Game time is at 7 PM.
