Martel Paces the Way With Four Goals, Malawsky Gets First Win As Warriors Head Coach

Vancouver, B.C. – The Vancouver Warriors had a trio of players score hat tricks, and forward Ryan Martel scored four goals and had four assists to help beat the Swarm 15-7.

It was a close game through the first two quarters but the Warriors had six goals in the third quarter to give themselves a four-goal lead heading into the fourth. Three of Martel’s four goals highlighted the third quarter; Adam Charalambides, Keegan Bal, and Kevin Crowley each had three goals, James Rahe and Kyle Killen had one goal apiece in the win.

Aaron Bold stopped 35 of 42 shots for Vancouver on the night.

The Warriors played tough defence from the first faceoff, Georgia’s Lyle Thompson and Shayne Jackson both scored two in the loss.

Vancouver hits the road next week to take on the Rochester Knighthawks on Saturday, December 23 at 4PM PT at Blue Cross Arena in Week 4 of NLL action.
